Rag dolls have been in existence for many, a long time as well as in the beginning were named rag dolls because it is exactly what these were fashioned from. Mothers would sew them for his or her daughters from scraps of cloth, or "rags". Probably the most famous rag dolls ever is Raggedy Ann, who had been soon followed by her brother Raggedy Andy. Not just were these two beloved dolls, but there was a tale in it as well. The tradition behind dolls similar to this is continued to this day by a
, the Lalaloopsy dolls.

Lalaloopsy Dolls

Lalaloopsy dolls exploded available on the market this year and have been going strong ever since. The storyline behind the Lalaloopsy line is this: "The Lalaloopsy were once rag dolls who magically came to life when their last stitch was sewn." Each doll has its own personality, that is based on which kind of fabric was used to stitch it. The Lalaloopsy dolls reside in a "whimsical world, filled with silly surprises", and just require a bit of imagination arrive at life.

Lalaloopsy Doll

There is a wide range of Lalaloopsy dolls, each with their own story. A few of the dolls within the lineup are:
•Sunny Side Up who is made from a farmer's shirt and overalls and loves to wake up early and care for animals.
•Bea Spells-A-Lot who's produced from a school girl's uniform and is smart, follows the guidelines and loves to talk.
•Dot Starlight who is produced from a real astronaut's space suit and is a dreamer, who has her head within the clouds.
•Spot Spatter Splash who's made from a painter's overalls and it is creative, and loves big messes.
•Peanut Big Top who's made from scraps of a clowns costume and it is an exotic prankster who is a little clumsy.
•Pillow Featherbed who's produced from pieces of a babies blankie and she or he loves stories and long naps.

Lalaloopsy

There is also a mini Lalaloopsy line for each doll and a plethora of accessories, including pets, furniture, a backpack, a sleepover looking for Pillow Featherbed and a Tea Party set for Crumbs.
The Lalaloopsy type of dolls is a popular request among young girls and it's easy to see why. With a number of dolls to select from, each with their own interesting history, young girls will likely find one that they'll relate to.
